This model will use battery power during the day in bad weather and flatten the battery unless you purchase the optional on off switch / if you want a model that works all day or night in (any weather) choose one of our solar/240 volt backup models (in store) or ask us for a custom setup to run battery backup plus 240 volt as a reserve.
THIS SOLAR SKYLIGHT KIT STAYS ON (DURING THE DAY) OFF HALF OF THE SOLAR PANEL AND THE OTHER HALF CHARGES THE BATTERY.
ONCE THE SUN GOES DOWN OR BAD WEATHER SETS IN THE (CONTROL BOX SWITCHES TO BATTERY BACK UP) IT HAS A MOTION SENSOR AND ONLY TURNS ON WHEN YOU WALK NEAR THE LED LIGHT PANEL (NIGHT TIME OR BAD WEATHER)
THE SENSOR WILL DETECT MOVEMENT UP TO 5 PLUS METERS AWAY!
YOU CAN ALSO ALTER THE SENSITIVITY OF THE RADAR DOWN TO 2 METERS/ INSTRUCTIONS SUPPLIED
IT STAYS ON FOR (TEN MINUTES) AFTER YOU LEAVE THE ROOM (AT NIGHT)
A 3.2 AH LITHIUM BATTERY IS MOUNTED ON THE BACK OF THE SOLAR PANEL AND WITH A FULL CHARGE
(5 HOURS OF STRONG SUNLIGHT) IT CAN OPERATE THE LIGHT FOR OVER 5 HOURS.
